The World Series of Poker Europe began today at the London Clubs International in Leicester Square with a Million-Dollar Freeroll consisting of 18 online qualifiers, ensuring we could care less who the winner is.
The “real” action kicks off tomorrow with the four-day Event No. 1, a £1,000 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament, followed by a £2,500 PLH/PLO event and £5,000 PLO event. Then the real, real action starts on Sept. 26 with the WSOPE Main Event, featuring a £10,000 buy-in, or about 2 gazillion US dollars.
Stay tuned here for all the latest news at the WSOPE at least a day or two later after it happens. Maybe three.
