YEEEEESSSS!!! Card Player Is Still Clueless!

CardplayerlogoIt was no secret that we were CRUSHED by the announcement that the highly competent Poker News, through BLUFF, was replacing Card Player as the official chip counting and live reporting source of the WSOP.

Specifically, Poker News was robbing us of Like You Were There Moments (TM) like this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this.

But thankfully for us, on the eve of the WSOP, Card Player proves that they’ve still "got it" by dropping a pointless and obvious press release. As you may or may not know, Card Player has been in quite the pissing contest with WSOP execs since BLUFF took WSOP reporting rights away from them, and it looks like Card Player wants to remind its readers that they are still a source for (much less detailed or complete) coverage of summer poker action. And in case you forgot, poker is a big thing in Vegas during the summer.

Quote Master-of-the-Obvious/Grasping-at-Straws Barry Shulman:

"This summer is going to be fantastic for poker tournaments in Vegas. Card Player reporters will be out in full force to ensure that our readers get complete coverage."

Card Player Media announces its summer poker coverage.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) June 1, 2007 — Starting June 1, 2007, Card Player Media will begin its innovative online and print coverage of the 2007 World Series of Poker and the 2007 Bellagio Cup III. Users will also be able to input their own hands and share results with friends.

"This summer is going to be fantastic for poker tournaments in Vegas," stated Barry Shulman, Card Player Media CEO. "Card Player reporters will be out in full force to ensure that our readers get complete coverage."
