Ya are not you are going about the well know theory in poker game that do just opposite what you would do.

He might not be playing tournament poker that much. He might be playing cash games at $200/$400 (sometimes going as low as a paltry $75/$150).
I think that because he says he doesn’t like tournament poker. But some think no limit holdem tournaments is all that there is. I bet he made a bit more than $75K at poker.
